Meet the Owner

My name is Pete Hernandez, and I am the proud owner of Fit Life Sports Flooring. My journey in the fitness industry began 36 years ago as a personal trainer.

In the 1980s, I spent countless hours running marathons and triathlons with my clients. While I loved the challenge, I realized that my body needed a break from the constant strain. This revelation led me to a new path: selling fitness equipment and setting up gyms for my clients.

During this time, I discovered a gap in the market for quality sports flooring. Intrigued by the potential, I dove into the world of sports flooring, researching companies specializing in innovative rubber products.

Fast forward 26 years, and Fit Life Sports Flooring has installed over 1 million square feet of sports flooring in gyms, schools, community centers, universities, and homes.

None of this success would be possible without the unwavering support of Cindy, my wife of 46 years. Together, we’ve built a thriving business and a wonderful life filled with adventure, family, and community.
